We enjoy the challenge of demanding and unusual projects.

Other people can do the easy ones.

We are generalists, old-school professionals. The interests of the project always come before our own.

We like to work for people for whom the quality of the work makes a difference, and who care enough to work alongside us, to invest time and thought in the effort.

We approach every project on its own terms, and allow the people, place, and circumstances of each project to present themselves as they are. We allow the specifics of each project to fix the terms of its process. The only constants from project to project are our attentiveness, thoughfulness, and relentlessness.

We use the latest digital tools and processes when they make sense, more time-tested analogue and manual ones where they are better or faster.

We believe that there is beauty to be found in even the most unprepossessing of circumstances, that there may always be order to be discovered within apparent chaos, and that within the pragmatic dictates of construction there can be poetry.

We design to find out_ to discover something that we didn’t know before. We build with purpose_ with the belief that if we work hard and pay attention we can make any project and perhaps the world better by our efforts.
